Map of the Barony of Idrone in County Carlow, Leinster by Gerard Mercator.
Published in Amsterdam by Jan Jansson and Henricus Hondius in 1638.

Original hand colour. Large margins. Some old repairs to tears and water stains in the margins not affecting the map area. Repaired splits at centrefold top and bottom into the map border. Some small holes and minor splits to paper in the green areas caused by acid from the verdigris used in the original green pigments. Creasing to centrefold. French text verso (incomplete).
